The History of the Grove in Albany
On the edge of The Grove, a winding path leads you to another beautiful location. Over 100 years ago to aid in the construction of the Albany township a stone Lime burning kiln was constructed by hand to produce quick lime which was used to cement together the original houses and buildings of Albany. Hidden away from the public and protected by the dense vegetation, this piece of history has survived and aged superbly to create a strikingly picturesque setting and the perfect backdrop to any wedding ceremony or photoshoot.
